A Bit of History
Multi-Lab has been in business under the name Multi-Lab since 2014, but the roots of the company go much deeper than that. The company Browne-Morse began manufacturing steel furniture in Muskegon, MI in 1907. It was not a large company but it was among the national leaders in the manufacture of steel office equipment at the time. The company was forced to liquidate in October of 1983. Keur Industries was establised in 1974. Keur began manufacturing laboratory cabinetry based on the original Browne-Morse designs. Later on, Keur obtained all of the orignal Browne-Morse Designs and rights to build.
In 2014, Keur Industries was sold and changed the name to Multi-Lab by Keur after 40 years of business. Multi-Lab made improvements to the cabinets and Fume Hoods, and brought our "J" Line of cabinets to the market, which is a seamless frame cabinet line. Multi-Lab was rebranded in 2016 to the logo you know today. Since then, Multi-Lab has made huge strides in brand recognition, product and process development.
Efficiences in products have been made, new technology, implementation of ISO 9001, SEFA approval and innoated engineering. In the past year, Multi-Lab's sales have doubled and we are shooting to thop that number yet again this year!

Below is a photo of a work space we installed in a dental office.
Last month, we had the 5th grade class from Grand Haven Christian school come and visit our facility. The students were able to come learn about manufacturing and how it is a large part of every day life. The kids got to go for a tour of the shop and see how our cabinets are made from just a sheet of steel. We had a special little project going on for them to see as well. Each student was able to take home a custom made Christmas ornament of the school logo cut from stainless steel. Everyone ate pizza and learned a lot!

What do you like to do for fun? I love teaching my kids how to cook and garden. Also we are brining a 1996 station wagon back to life!
Favorite show right now? I don't really have time to watch TV. Mostly just football.
Fun Fact: The only plane I have ever been in, I jumped out of. 3,500' Static-line jump.
What is your favorite part about working here? When I was 18 years old, I started working in a small shop. The shop eventually sold and merged with another company and became much larger. I appreciate the fact that this is a small company and I don't have 6 bosses. I worked at my last job for 17 years and was the "old dog"... now I have to prove myself all over again.
A Note from the CEO
"We have been working on the implementation of ISO 9001 since December and we are on track to be certified by June of this year. We are very excited to have this quality management system in place. It will not only help us gain more corporate work, but will greatly help our associates thrive in their positions."
